Visionary Lodge $1.1 Billion Development Application in Sydney’s Northern Suburbs (The Australian)
Chinese-backed development group Visionary has lodged applications for a $1.1 billion four-storey complex in Macquarie Park as a part of the area's transformation to a dense inner-city area. Visionary, who have a reputation as experts in property development and investment, has lodged plans for developments at 86 Waterloo Road, 88 Waterloo Road and 8 Cottonwood Crescent with Ryde council.
Coopers Hotel Goes for a Premium (AFR)
Newtown’s Coopers Hotel (221 King Street, Newtown NSW 2042) has been picked up for $13.5 million by King Tide Hospitality Group. The hotel delivered annual revenues of $4.7 million in the last financial year.
Chinese Investors Return to Hotel Market (AFR)
The Queenslander Hotel at 265-269 Lake Street Cairns North QLD 4870 has been purchased by Chinese firm Tsaos International for around $15 million whilst private Chinese investors acquired the Travelodge Hotel at 86 Victoria Parade, Rockhampton City QLD 4700 for around $6-7 million.
