Charter Hall Makes Sydney CBD Play (The Australian)
Property powerhouse Charter Hall has purchased the freehold title of Sydney CBD’s Chifley Tower and Plaza for a reported figure of $98.5 million. The title at 2 Chifley Square Sydney NSW 2000 consists of 6438m² of land as well as accommodating the 94.6-year leasehold owned by Singapore’s GIC Real Estate, valued at $1.8 billion and covering 70,000m² of office space.

Chinese Investor Secures Melbourne Shopping Centre (AFR)
A first-time retail investor from China has secured the recently developed shopping centre at 315A Harvest Home Road Epping VIC 3076 for a reported $44 million. The property, on a yield of around 5.6%, is situated on a block of 2.32ha with high-profile tenants such as Coles and Aldi, on 15-year and 10-year lease terms respectively.
