Event Hospitality and Entertainment has acquired the 138 room Mercure Hotel on Myers Street, Geelong for $25 million ($181,159/key).
The purchaser has proposed to undertake major renovations and reposition the hotel as a Rydges Hotel.

Rockworth Capital Partners has acquired the Redbank Plains sub-regional shopping centre on Redbank Plains Road, Redbank Plains for$160 million ($5,926/m² of GLAR), reflecting a yield of 6%.
The centre comprises 27,000m² of GLAR and is anchored by a Woolworths, Coles, ALDI, Target and Daiso.
The centre is currently 95% occupied.
Tewantin Shopping Centre Sold (www.theaustralian.com.au)
A private investor has acquired Poinciana Place shopping centre on Poinciana Avenue, Tewantin for $17.3 million ($5,570/m² of GLAR), reflecting a yield of 5.9%.
The centre comprises 3,106m² of GLAR and is anchored by a Woolworths with 10 specialty tenancies.
