Darling Harbour Mixed Use Development Proposal (

  • Mirvac has lodged a request for a new Secretary’s Environmental Assessment Requirements (SEARs) for the Harbourside Shopping Centre site at 2 Darling Drive, Darling Harbour.

  • The proposed development will comprise four levels of retail/restaurant floor space (52,000m² proposed GFA) with a residential apartment tower (35,000m² proposed GFA) above.

Sydney Retail Market (

  • Industry research indicates the overall retail vacancy rate in the Sydney CBD Core has decreased to 1.8% from 3.3% over the last 12 months, with street frontages recording vacancy at 1.5%, Arcades and Laneways at 1.5%, and Shopping Centres at 2.3%.

  • Over the last 12 months over $873 million of retail assets have transacted.

  • Brilliant Lifts Australia has leased a 526m² warehouse property for 5 years at 10 Ossary Street, Mascot for $230/m² gross p.a.

  • Grosvenor Engineering Group has leased a 2,700m² industrial property for 3 years at 198 Young Street, Waterloo for $205/m² gross p.a.

  • Verosol Australia has leased a 4,323m² office and showroom property for 5 years at 40 Marigold Street, Revesby for $110/m² net p.a.
