Darling Harbour Mixed Use Development Proposal (www.smh.com.au)
Mirvac has lodged a request for a new Secretary’s Environmental Assessment Requirements (SEARs) for the Harbourside Shopping Centre site at 2 Darling Drive, Darling Harbour.
The proposed development will comprise four levels of retail/restaurant floor space (52,000m² proposed GFA) with a residential apartment tower (35,000m² proposed GFA) above.

Industry research indicates the overall retail vacancy rate in the Sydney CBD Core has decreased to 1.8% from 3.3% over the last 12 months, with street frontages recording vacancy at 1.5%, Arcades and Laneways at 1.5%, and Shopping Centres at 2.3%.
Over the last 12 months over $873 million of retail assets have transacted.
