NSW Property

Barangaroo update (AFR Pg.59)

  • As detailed in the project development agreement Lend Lease will pay for the decontamination of a portion of the Barangaroo site that was previously used as a gasworks; groundworks for an onsite ferry terminal; and a walkway linking the site with Wynyard train station.

Sutherland Shire land rezoning (AFR Pg.60)

  • The NSW Planning Minister has approved a SEPP which rezones land for low-density housing purposes.
  • The land is adjacent to Cronulla and a public recreation and conservation area extending from Towra Point Wetlands .
  • The site will house 420 houses and is owned by Australand and Breen Holdings.

10 – 20 Bond Street, Sydney update (AFR Pg.58)

  • Mirvac and ING Office Fund have pre-leased 10% of 10 – 20 Bond Street in Sydney to an undisclosed tenant.

Queensland Property

One One One Eagle Street, Brisbane update (AFR Pg.59

  • It is believed Macquarie Bank and Norton Rose have signed heads of agreements to lease space in One One One Eagle Street in Brisbane.
  • GPT anticipate the building will be fully leased by March 2011.

Whisper Bay Resort development sale (AFR Pg.60)

  • David Marriner has purchased the Whisper Bay Resort development in Airlie Beach for close to $60 million.
  • Last year the 104 apartment project was placed in receivership.
  • Some of the apartments have views to Hayman Island and plunge pools.

Victoria Property

Tullamarine pre-lease (AFR Pg.60) 

  • Goodman Fielder has pre-leased a 4,000m² distribution centre in Tullamarine.
  • Corplex will build the facility.
