NSW Property

Terranora Country Club development plans (AFR Pg.53)

  • The NSW government has approved the $1.2 billion redevelopment of the Terranora Country Club at Bilambil Heights near the Queensland border.
  • The derelict club will be redeveloped to include 1,604 dwellings, a 200 bed aged-care facility, commercial and retail space and an arts college.
  • The project will take 10 to 12 years to be developed in its entirety.

Balmain Leagues Club update (SMH Pg.3)

  • The proposal by Rozelle Village to redevelop the Balmain Leagues Club has been rejected following a public meeting.
  • The development was opposed because of the traffic congestion and impact on Darling Street businesses.
  • The developer will continue to campaign for the 3 tower complex.

Bonnets Bay Shopping Village sale (AFR Pg.53)

  • The Bonnets Bay Shopping Village has sold for $1,915,500, $265,500 above reserve, on a yield of 5.7%.
  • The centre is on a 2,653m² ($722/m²) site and comprises 9 shops, 1 apartment and 28 car spaces.
  • The annual income is $110,000.
