East Coast leasing update (AFR Pg.55)

Westpac Banking Corp has leased space in ING Office Fund’s 151 Clarence Street in Sydney.

Macquarie Group has taken 4 floors vacated by ASIC at No.1 Martin Place.

Russell Investments is expected to take the top 3 floors at 135 King Street.

GPT and Lend Lease have been in negotiations with the Queensland Police Service to lease 14,000m² at the Brisbane Transit Centre in Brisbane.

GPT has agreed terms with the first 2 major tenants for One One One Eagle Street. They will occupy 13,000m² or 20%.

Lend Lease is believed to be in talks to secure 1,800m² of space in Stockland’s Waterfront Place.

Approximately 9,000m² of BP-occupied floors have been relet and 5 of the 6 Telstra floors have been leased to a major insurance company in GPT’s Melbourne Central.

In Melbourne’s suburbs Jemena has leased 4,400m² at 351 Burwood Highway, Burwood East and Super Concepts has leased 1,200m² at 293 Springvale Road, Glen Waverley.
Colonial places industrial portfolio on the market (AFR Pg.54)

Colonial First State Global Asset Management has placed a $270 million industrial property portfolio comprising 16 warehouse and distribution facilities, 4 industrial estates and 2 vacant parcels of land with development potential on the market.

As at June 2009 the assets were 93% occupied and had a weighted average lease expiry of 3.9 years.
