South West Growth Centre update (AFR Pg.55)
- Two projects worth $500 million were launched yesterday in the South West Growth Centre Turner Road precinct known as Gregory Hills and the adjoining Central Hills Business Park.

Gregory Hills is anticipated to be one of the largest residential estates within the metropolitan area with 2,400 lots and a 15,000m² town centre and is to be developed in conjunction with the land owners, the Trustees of the Marist Brothers and Dart West Developments.

The adjoining Central Hills Business Park is expected to create approximately 2,500 jobs across the 45 hectare site having already obtained commitment from TRN Group, a local civil engineering firm who acquired a site for their new headquarters.

The NSW Government announced yesterday that the Turner Road precinct had the capacity for 4,000 jobs and 5,000 new home sites and would compliment the nearby Oran Park Town which was launched earlier this year with the potential for more than 7,500 new homes and 4,000 jobs.

The land within the Turner Road precinct has been rezoned with approvals in place for the first 400 lots. Lead infrastructure works have commenced on site.

King George Central update (AFR Pg.55)

Colonial First State is believed to be undertaking due diligence on Devine’s proposed King George Central commercial development on Ann Street in Brisbane.

The deal is believed to be worth $210 million and if finalised will be the largest transaction to eventuate in the capital for the past 12 months.
