Sir Stamford Hotel Redevelopment Update (AFR Pg.40)
  • Plans to demolish the Sir Stamford Hotel at Circular Quay and construct a 25 level residential tower comprising 96 apartments have been submitted to council.
  • Stamford Hotels have stated there are no immediate plans to redevelop the site and that the development application is to keep their options on the hotel open.

National

Hotel Market Update (AFR Pg.40)
  • Research has forecast a 10.5% increase in revenue for hotel rooms in Sydney, indicating an average room rate of $210 to be achieved by the end of 2012.
  • Melbourne is expected to experience a revenue increase per hotel room of approximately 10% for 2012, indicating an average room rate of $195.
