Darling Harbour Office Tower Development Update (AFR Pg.38)
  • Grocon will reportedly submit plans for a $500 million office tower development at Darling Harbour.
  • The proposed 18 storey tower will span 38,000m² of office space and aim for a 6 star Green Star energy rating.

Queensland

Gold Coast Development Sites Sold (AFR Pg.38)
  • Singapore based Ho Bee Investments have acquired two mixed use development sites on the Gold Coast for $30 million.
  • 3340 Surfers Paradise Boulevard, Surfers Paradise has development approval for a $170 million residential tower comprising 154 units and was acquired for $10 million ($64,935/unit).
  • The second site in Broadbeach was acquired for $20 million and has development potential for a high rise residential tower and associated retail space.
Gold Coast Residential Market Update (AFR Pg.38)
  • Research indicates the volume of vacant land sales on the Gold Coast increased by 30% in the June quarter.
  • The average house sale price of $527,819 is down 12% from June 2010.
