Kings Forest Development Update (AFR Pg.52)
  • The Leda Holdings master planned development Kings Forest which will consist of 4,500 dwellings has been made available for public submissions by the NSW government.

Queensland

Gold Coast Hotel Approved (AFR Pg.52)
  • The Gold Coast City Council has approved a $1 billion six star hotel and resort development at Surfers Paradise.
  • The RDG development will comprise a 45 storey, 3,000 suite hotel, a 41 storey tower consisting of 215 luxury apartments and a 35 storey tower consisting of 108 premium apartments.

National

Industrial Rents Update (AFR Pg.53)
  • Sydney, Brisbane and Perth have ranked in the top 10 in the world for highest industrial rents.
  • Industrial rents in Brisbane increased by 0.7% in the three months to September 30.
Distressed Assets Update (AFR Pg.53)
  • From October 1 to November 21, approximately a third of the 489 properties listed for sale were distressed assets.
  • Of the 153 distressed assets, 57.5% were development sites.
Green Office Buildings Update (SMH Pg.9)
  • Research indicates office buildings in Sydney and Canberra with a five star NABERS rating achieve a 9% premium in value whilst three to four and a half stars delivered a 2 to 3% premium in value.
